Responsibilities:
  • Bachelors/master Degree in Law.
  • Proven experience in construction projects (energy sector is preferred and experiences with NEGU is a plus).
  • Fluency in English required; Russian/Uzbek preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, particularly in the context of EPC contracts (FIDIC, NEC, or equivalent).
  • "Deep understanding of legal and regulatory aspects of construction projects (energy sector is preferred), including land acquisition and right-of-way, construction permitting from the local authorities, contract law (EPC).
  • Skilled in legal risk identification, mitigation, and resolution of disputes, including arbitration, mediation, and court proceedings.
  • Familiarity with international and local legal frameworks and standards relevant to EPC and energy projects (e.g., local grid code regulations, environmental & safety law, ISO compliance frameworks, NEGU regulations).
  • Strong contractual, legal, and commercial awareness, with ability to draft, review, and negotiate EPC Contracts, subcontract, and consortium/JV agreements.
  • Expertise in dispute resolution mechanisms (claims, arbitration, litigation, and settlement negotiation).
  • 1 0. Familiarity with banking instruments and financial securities, including performance guarantees, advance payment guarantees, and letters of credit.

    1 1 . Strong communication and negotiation skills with clients, contractors, regulators, and other stakeholders.

    1 2. Strong contractual, legal, and commercial awareness, with ability to draft, review, and negotiate and manage the change orders and prepare and defend the claim reports

    1 3. Proven ability to review, interpret, and negotiate complex contractual clauses related to payments, guarantees, and risk allocation.

    1 4. Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks, propose legal strategies, and mitigate disputes.
Requirements:
  • Manage client communications contractual correspondence.

    Review and analyze contracts, agreements, and related documentation to identify potential legal issues, risks, and compliance requirements.

    Prepare detailed reports and recommendations on contractual and legal matters to support decision-making and ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies within the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) environment.

    Monitor and address legal issues related to delayed payments of invoices, including reviewing contractual payment terms, preparing formal notices or claims, and coordinating with relevant departments to ensure timely resolution in accordance with contractual obligations and applicable laws.

    Oversee and manage legal matters related to project financial arrangement* including advance payments, credit facilities, and performance guarantees. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and banking requirements, review associated documentation, and provide legal advice to safeguard the company's financial and contractual interests.

    Preparation of claims, variation orders, and change requests with proper documentation.

    Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, permits, and local regulations.

    Legal support interface with Client and Consultants.

    Represent the Company in progress review meetings, site inspections, and audits.

    Build and maintain professional relations with stakeholders to ensure cooperation and issue resolution. Ensure complete and accurate handover legal documentation to Client and closing the project.
