Your ‘day to day’:
GOVERNMENT, PUBLIC AND STAKEHOLDER RELATIONS
- Build a network of relationships with representatives of local business entities and associations, government bodies, public organizations and influencers related to the corporate business agenda in EA perspective, specifically business environment, investment climate, public-private partnership issues.
- Assess and recommend strategies and tactics to develop networks of allied organizations (e.g., Chambers of Commerce, Advertising Associations and Foundations) and coordinate the efforts of these allies to support EA goals. Maintain PM CAS/KZ memberships, assess effectiveness, rationality and overall added value of these contributions.
- Coordinate work of dedicated committees in business associations with the goal of promoting PM CAS’s image and interests.
- When appropriate, represent the company at dedicated public events and platforms and government establishments.
CAPABILITY BUILDING
- Conduct regular assessment of government and public relations capabilities and plans to provide recommendations on strengthening regulatory stakeholder base and approaches with the reference to EA issues.
- Monitor most relevant legislative, regulatory, public discussion and judicial proceedings relevant as per EA and general PMI agenda, provide timely reporting to management along with impact and risk assessment of these proceedings and related strategic and tactical recommendations.
- Prepare studies and analytical notes, position papers for the department management on particular industry and enterprise issues, EA-related competitive threats, and internal business process improvement.
- Participate in cross-functional planning discussions to ensure understanding of the key business assumptions and drivers. Work with EA staff and relevant line management to fine-tune strategies and action plans and, as required, assist in the implementation.
- Develop and recommend new venues, vehicles and events that serve as effective platforms for government relations activities. Coordinate with EA team to develop complementary communications and contributions approaches that assist in utilizing the capabilities of these venues and events.
- Serve as the coordinator of EA Industry discussion platforms and working groups, ensure the discussion agenda adequately reflects key EA issues of concern to PMI.
- Participate in cross-functional teams and meetings provide understanding of the EA department's priorities, objectives and projects.
PUBLIC IMAGE
- Lead preparation of EA and PM CAS management team participation in key high-level domestic and international business events supplying them with full argumentation and data portfolio consolidated in collaboration with responsible EA blocks and business functions.
- Manage data and materials gathering within the department and affiliate for developing visual and text messages and presentations for use at external events.
IN-HOUSE EXPERTISE
- Acquire and maintain superior level of expertise in EA domestic and international issues concerning tax regimes, marketing freedoms, youth smoking prevention campaigns, product certification and standardization, packaging and labeling, reduced risk products assessment, interstate customs and tax unions, and international agenda related issues.
- Serve as the EA Knowledge source, secure timely and quality EA contribution to cross-functional information exchange within PM CAS and with EE teams.
Who we’re looking for:
- MBA and/or Masters’ Degree in Economics/Finance
- 3-5 years in Corporate Affairs or Finance. Prior successful track record working in Government Relation or Public Affairs in a multinational company
- 3+ years of working experience in a corporate strategy position within a fast-paced and dynamic business environment, preferably within the Strategy Development function
- Team and project management experience
- Experience in strategic planning and business analysis
- Experience in FMCG is preferable
- Experienced professional with high business acumen
- Knowledge of the business
- Organizational awareness
- Fluency in English and Russian languages (Verbal and written)
- Professional knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and related computer software
- Ability to clearly articulate queries that will in turn prompt relevant and useful responses.
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational, planning, analytical and implementation skills
