CENTRAL ASIAN UNIVERSITY looking for a responsible and organized librarian who will work the evening shift in our library. Your main task will be to serve patrons, maintain order in the library and ensure the efficient operation of the evening department.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist library patrons by answering their questions and providing information about available books and other materials.
• Issue library cards and keep records of issued books and other materials.
• Help visitors find the necessary literature and assist in the use of library resources.
• Maintain order and neatness on the shelves and in the reading room by regularly taking inventory and reordering books.
• Monitor compliance with the rules for using library resources and maintain discipline in the library.

Requirements:

• Higher or secondary vocational education in the field of library science or a related field.
• Experience in a library will be an advantage, but is not required.
• Competent command of the English language. ( Intermediate level)
• Ability to work with a computer (MS Excel, Office).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with different categories of visitors.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work in the evening and on a non-standard schedule. (13:00-20:00/ 6 days of work)
