Tashkent office

Head office of Air Products Central Asia is a modern space for comfortable work, located in one of the best business centers of Uzbekistan in the capital city of Tashkent. It offers a bright interior, high-quality appliances and a comfortable kitchen. The Tashkent office employs administrative and management personnel of Air Products.

We are looking for Logistics Specialist (Contractor) to join our team based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. You will report to Regional Procurement Manager and will responsible for logistics services for capital projects.

You will:

• Follow-up goods transport arrangements for different projects. Regular communications with Client.
• Recommend optimal transport modes, routes or frequency and delivery terms.
• Organize goods transportation process utilizing various means of transport depending on project needs.
• Arrange full scope of customs clearance process working closely with customs broker (import, export, other procedures if required).
• Interface with a variety of functions including operations, engineering, legal, and business management to achieve goals. Communicate with authorities (if required).
• Create Air Products shipping documents, review suppliers’ shipping documents.
• Issue transport documents (B/L, CMR, AWB, etc.).
• Procure related to logistics services: RFP / RFQ / Competitive Bids, Contracts.
• Ensure competitiveness.
• Coordinating route survey that provide accurate road limitation information and suggestions to project/design engineers. This is applied to oversized cargo transports (normally соlumns, cold boxes, large tanks and vessels).
• Providing transportation statistics and analysis reports for better management of transportation costs and service.
• Act as single point of contact for Air Products for expediting related activities.
• Manage supplier performance during project execution through proactive and targeted expediting of purchase orders to ensure all deliverables (documentation and goods) are delivered as per the schedule.
• Communicate any changes in schedule to the internal team and respond to order status updates

As the Logistics Specialist (Contractor) you already are or have:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in technical, business commercial, logistics, or shipping
• Minimum 5 years work experience with logistics/transportation/forwarding.
• Deep knowledge in transport (international and local) and customs legislation of Uzbekistan
• Experience in project logistics for large scale projects with oversized equipment
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, terms, production scheduling
• Strong Negotiating skills
• Understanding on international trade, INCO term, international transportation.
• Industrial Gas / Oil and Gas industry experience
• Professional skills on the heavy-haul transportation for the product’s size/weight up to 65M x 7M x 7M, 600 tons.
• Excellent oral and written English, Russian, Uzbek (will be advantage)

Work conditions and benefits package

• Competitive salary (upon agreement after interview) and job conditions

  Salary is paid twice a month in Uzbekistani sums

• Work schedule: 8 hours per day, 5 days a week (Monday – Friday)

• The workplace is located in the office in Tashkent city

• Annual leave – 21 calendar days

• Health insurance for employees (including medicines upon doctor’s assignment)
