Key responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services using PHP 8+ (preferably Laravel);
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and WebSocket-based real-time communication modules;
• Contribute to the development of multi-region (KZ/UZ) applications ensuring configuration isolation and consistency across environments;
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following SOLID and Clean Code principles;
• Participate in architecture design, code reviews, and technical documentation;
• Optimize application and database performance for scalability and low latency;
• Collaborate with frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration;
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of professional backend development experience;
• Strong knowledge of PHP 8+, OOP, and design patterns;
• Hands-on experience with Laravel;
• Strong understanding of WebSocket protocols, real-time data streaming, or event broadcasting (e.g., Laravel Echo, Pusher, Socket.io, or custom implementations);
• Good knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL;
• Experience with REST API design and development;
• Familiarity with Git, Docker, and modern development workflows;
• Understanding of queues, caching, and asynchronous job processing;

• Experience writing unit and integration tests;

• Solid understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms with Auth0;

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Java or C# (cross-language architecture knowledge)0;
• Experience in multi-region or multi-tenant system design;
• Familiarity with microservices, modular monolith, or event-driven architectures;

• Knowledge of architectural design patterns such as DDD (Domain-Driven Design), Clean Architecture;

• Experience with WebSocket scaling and load balancing (e.g., Redis Pub/Sub, NATS, or Kafka);

• Hands-on experience with message brokers (preferably Kafka);

• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps);

• Understanding of service discovery, API gateway patterns, and infrastructure as code.
