QA Lead Job Description - E2E Testing & Culture Focus

Position Overview

Seeking a QA Lead to drive end-to-end testing excellence and build a quality-first culture across engineering teams.

Core Responsibilities

End-to-End Testing Leadership

• Design and implement comprehensive E2E testing strategies for critical user journeys

• Lead automation initiatives using modern frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium)

• Establish production-like testing environments and ephemeral preview environments

• Create robust test data management and state isolation strategies

Culture Development

• Foster quality ownership across all teams - developers, QA, product, stakeholders

• Break down quality silos by making testing a shared responsibility

• Serve as quality coach through training programs and mentoring

• Establish quality communities of practice and knowledge sharing

Process & Team Leadership

• Implement shift-left testing practices in CI/CD pipelines

• Lead and mentor QA team while facilitating cross-functional collaboration

• Drive continuous improvement and quality metrics tracking

Required Qualifications

Experience:

• 5+ years QA experience with 2+ years in leadership roles

• Proven track record implementing E2E testing for complex applications

• Experience driving culture change initiatives

Technical Skills:

• Expert in E2E testing frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium)

• Strong CI/CD integration and DevOps practices knowledge

• API testing, performance testing, and test automation expertise

Leadership:

• Exceptional mentoring and coaching abilities

• Strong stakeholder management and influence skills

• Experience facilitating collaborative processes and training
