REQUIREMENTS:

• SAP Test Automation Engineer who’ll work with QMate (SAP’s WebdriverIO service).

• SAP landscape familiarity: Fiori launchpad, roles/authorizations, SSO considerations in test envs.

• API basics: knows how to mix UI + API steps when QMate executes API calls via WDIO service.

• Experience in testing SAP applications.

• QMate - is mandatory (write, run, and debug tests, comfortable with QMate selector syntax and common helpers)

• JavaScript/TypeScript & Node.js, Visual Studio Code, OOP, WebDriver, github, Jenkins.

• SAPUI5/Fiori testing.

• CI/CD: integrate WDIO/QMate suites into pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), artifacts, and test reports (e.g., Allure).

• Version control: Git branching, PR reviews, code quality tools.

• Strong knowledge of testing methodology (Test design & structure: page-object/screen-object patterns, data-driven tests,)

• Agile methodology.

• Team player.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build and maintain an automated regression suite for SAPUI5/Fiori apps using QMate + WDIO.

• Define test strategy, coverage, and critical paths; collaborate with QA/Dev/PO for acceptance criteria and stable IDs.

• Create reliable selectors using view names/metadata/IDs; refactor to page objects; keep tests deterministic.

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

• Mocking & test data: experience with UI5 mockserver utilities in QMate and synthetic data generation.

• Dockerized test runs: containerize WDIO/QMate, run headless in CI.

• Performance & accessibility awareness: basic checks or hooks in pipelines.
