ABOUT THE ROLE:

As part of our global expansion, we are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our legal team with a primary focus on the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (META) region. You will play a critical role in supporting a broad range of commercial transactions and legal operations, while also contributing to projects in other global regions, including APAC, Europe, and LATAM.

This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact initiatives in a fast-paced and evolving international environment. You will serve as a strategic advisor to business stakeholders, combining legal expertise with commercial to enable compliant and sustainable growth across diverse markets.

YOUR MISSION

• Handle legal aspects of a wide range of commercial transactions, including strategic alliances, partnerships, licensing, distribution agreements, and other complex commercial contracts across multiple jurisdictions with a primary focus on the MEA & CA region;
• Provide expert legal advice and support to business teams on all transactional matters, from deal structuring and negotiation to integration;
• Conduct legal due diligence and risk assessment for proposed transactions;
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, terms and conditions, EULAs, SLAs, MoUs, LoIs, and other contractual documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations in relevant jurisdictions;
• Develop and maintain standard transactional templates;
• Draft various intragroup policies and ensure their alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements;
• Collaborate with external consultants in various jurisdictions as required;
• Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments in assigned regions and proactively advise the company on potential impacts;
• Provide training and guidance to business teams on legal and contractual matters;
• Manage and mentor subordinated legal team members;
• Work closely with other business operations departments, including finance, coordinators, and other stakeholders;
• Handle special projects as requested, providing legal insights and support on business-critical initiatives.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

• Qualified lawyer with 5+ years of relevant experience in transactional legal work, preferably with a focus on cross-border contracting;
• Lead and support commercial transactions across the META region, including drafting, negotiating, and reviewing contracts with customers, partners, and vendors.
• Deep understanding of contract law, commercial law, and regulatory frameworks in multiple jurisdictions;
• Skilled in providing legal guidance in multinational, cross-cultural environments, ideally in the technology, cybersecurity, or SaaS sectors.
• Strong drafting skills are essential; proven ability to independently draft complex commercial agreements and transactional documents is required;
• Experience in supporting the day-to-day commercial operations of a business;
• Good knowledge of licensing models and licensing agreements (including software/IP licensing);
• Familiarity with antitrust and competition law frameworks;
• Ability to manage complex transactions and meet tight deadlines;
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills (both written and verbal) in English.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, and proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating unbiased, risk-aware counsel that balances legal protection with business goals.
• Additional requirements:
• Fluent in English. Russian and/or Arabic are a plus.
• Experience in a global IT company is highly preferable. Understanding specifics of the Cybersecurity market will be a big advantage;
• Previous experience in managing or mentoring legal team members is a plus, but not a requirement.
