Strategy, budgeting and reporting specialist
Reports to: Deputy General Director
About the company:
Mortgage Refinancing Company of Uzbekistan (UzMRC) is a non-banking financial institution, main purpose is to provide long-term financing to commercial banks through the refinancing of mortgage loan portfolios.
The UzMRC objective is to promote and develop the mortgage market of Uzbekistan.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or professional certification (such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA) in a relevant field is an advantage.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in strategy development, budgeting, reporting, or a related field.
- Experience managing reporting requirements in commercial banks or international organisations.
- Experience in navigating complex creditor requirements and maintaining compliance with varying financial reporting standards.
Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with exceptional skills in Excel.
- Excellent writing and research skills in Uzbek and English. Good command in Russian is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and produce meaningful insights and reports.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, including the capability to engage effectively with various internal departments and external creditors.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Cross-cultural communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
Responsibilities
Strategy and research (20%)
- Assist in the development and revision of strategy as needed.
- Conducting local and international market, banking sector, mortgage sector and macroeconomic research.
- Preparation of reports and presentations as a result of market studies.
Budgeting and Tracking (30%)
- Assist in the development and revision of business plan as needed.
- Financial modelling and simulation.
- Monitor and analyze business plan implementation.
- Track operating and capital expenditures and compare them against the budget, highlighting variances.
- Provide regular updates and recommendations to management based on budget analysis.
Reporting (30%)
- Transform Uz GAAP financial statements into IFRS financial statements
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports to Management, Supervisory Board, Creditors and Regulator as and when necessary.
- Ensure all reporting adheres to appropriate requirements and guidelines.
- Liaise with other divisions to gather necessary reporting data.
- Analyze financial reports for accuracy and consistency.
Procurement and Accounting Engagement (10%)
- Work with Accounting to ensure proper recording and reporting of financial transactions.
- Assist in analyzing discrepancies between budgeting and accounting records.
Administrative Tasks (10%)
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audit purposes.
- Assist in developing and updating financial policies and procedures.
- Provide administrative support in financial matters, including preparing documentation and coordinating meetings.
