The Technical Office Chief is responsible for overseeing all technical activities related to project design, planning, documentation, and coordination between departments. This role ensures that engineering tasks and technical submissions are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with contract specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Project Documentation & Coordination:
• Supervise preparation and submission of technical documentation (shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, RFIs).
• Review and approve technical drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations.
• Coordinate with design consultants, architects, and subcontractors for technical clarifications.
• Planning & Scheduling:
• Support project planning through quantity take-offs, material BOQs, and resource requirements.
• Assist in preparing construction schedules and integrating technical activities into the overall project timeline.
• Technical Leadership:
• Lead a team of engineers and draftsmen in the technical office.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and ensure high productivity and accuracy.
• Cost & Value Engineering:
• Support cost estimation and value engineering processes during design and construction stages.
• Coordinate with procurement for technical evaluation of materials and suppliers.
• Reporting & Compliance:
• Prepare periodic technical reports and updates for project management and clients.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and safety standards.

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Experience:
• Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in a senior or supervisory role in the technical office of a construction or engineering company.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and design standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, Primavera, and other engineering tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple technical tasks under tight deadlines.
• Languages:
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required; Russian or other local languages may be an asset depending on location..
