About the Role

Project Translator/ Interpreter for EPS project to support locally project organization in Tashkent.

This role implies daily collaboration with the project translation team in Espoo and performance of certain team’s functions at a local level.

In this role you will:

• Interpret at project meetings, seminars, trainings, site visits, supplier visits, etc. organized locally (in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, etc.)
• Translate documents and messages into target languages (Ru & En), with careful attention to providing proper context, meaning, tone and technical wording
• Verify, modify and edit translations to compensate for discrepancies in technical terms and to guarantee that the final content is consistent with original material

• Be in daily liaison with customer representatives, design institute personnel and other stakeholders on wide range of project matters
• Ensure that the project translation lead and rest of the team is up to date regarding local project

To succeed, you will need:

• Proficiency in English and Russian, other languages (Uzbek, Finnish, German) are beneficial
• Communication abilities, verbal and written, in all languages used
• Degree in translation or linguistics
• Experience in English – Russian translations and interpretation
• Technical background or engineering degree is beneficial
• Experience in the relevant field of translation and interpretation, specifically in the minerals and metals industry
• Knowledge of technical terminology, specifically in the minerals and metals industry
• Knowledge of CAT-tools, in particular SDL Trados, SDL Multiterm
