The Account Executive is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of clients, driving revenue, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, nurturing existing relationships, and acting as the main point of contact between the company and its clients.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities through calls, emails, networking, and referrals.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.
- Prepare and deliver tailored sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and service levels within company guidelines.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets (revenue, margin, new accounts, etc.).
2. Account Management & Client Relationships
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned client accounts.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Conduct regular check-ins, business reviews, and follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction.
- Understand client needs, goals, and challenges and recommend suitable products/solutions.
- Resolve client issues and complaints promptly, coordinating with internal teams as needed.
3. Strategic Planning & Opportunity Development
- Develop account plans for key clients, including growth strategies and upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
- Monitor client usage, performance, and feedback to identify expansion opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to support account growth.
- Track competitor activity and market trends to position offerings effectively.
4. Administration, Reporting & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, opportunities, activities, and deals in CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates for management.
- Ensure all contracts, documentation, and account information are complete and properly stored.
- Follow company processes for approvals, pricing, discounts, and deal structure.
