Responsibilities:- Contracting Process Management: Lead the end-to-end contracting process, collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop comprehensive RFQs/RFPs that align with both technical and commercial requirements.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong rapport and trust with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners to ensure smooth contract execution and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Negotiation Expertise: Lead complex negotiations, balancing firmness and flexibility to secure favorable terms while maintaining positive relationships with vendors and stakeholders.
- Legal Coordination: Collaborate closely with the legal team to negotiate contract terms, ensure compliance, and address any issues, ensuring smooth contract finalization while safeguarding the organization's interests.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks in contract terms, assess their impact, and implement effective mitigation strategies to protect the organization’s interests.
- Spend Analysis & Value Creation: Perform thorough spend analysis to optimize costs and identify value creation opportunities through global contracts, aggregating requirements across multiple locations to drive cost efficiencies.
- Compliance: Ensure that all contracts adhere to company policies, procurement standards, and local regulations, maintaining consistency in compliance and quality across all contracts.
- Conflict Resolution: Proactively identify contract-related conflicts or disputes, mediate to resolve them at the earliest stage, and escalate when necessary. Ensure swift and effective resolution to prevent delays, protect relationships, and mitigate financial or operational risks.
- Contract Documentation Management: Maintain up-to-date and accurate contractual records, including correspondence, contract variations, and other relevant documentation to avoid disputes and ensure transparency.
- Communication & Reporting: Ensure clear, timely communication across functions and teams, including briefing leadership on the status of contract negotiations and any significant contractual risks or issues.
- Multitasking & Time Management: Handle multiple contract negotiations and project timelines simultaneously, demonstrating excellent organizational skills and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- 5-8 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or contract management, with a proven track record in managing complex, international contracts and negotiations;
- Proficiency in SAP and experience working with procurement systems;
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred;
- Deep understanding of contractual terms and conditions with the ability to identify legal risks and effectively collaborate with the Legal team to mitigate them;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and lead multiple contract negotiations simultaneously;
Experience in cross-border negotiations and handling contracts in diverse international environments; - Effective leadership skills to manage contract teams, negotiate with senior stakeholders, and drive decision-making processes;
- Excellent communication skills to brief leadership on contract status, issues, and potential risks;
- Good knowledge on the local SC landscape (including Azerbaijan) and should be aware of the culture;
- Proficient in both English and Russian languages.
