DPI Engineer (Deep Packet Inspection)

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the deployment, commissioning, and integration of Huawei DPI/SIG solutions within Tier-1 carrier networks.
• Analyze mainstream and emerging internet protocols, including P2P, VoIP, streaming, and encrypted traffic, in order to develop, optimize, and maintain traffic identification signatures with high recognition accuracy.
• Monitor and optimize DPI system performance, including throughput, latency, and CPU utilization, and continuously refine traffic classification logic to meet business and service KPIs.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and crisis support for DPI-related issues, including traffic bypass, traffic misidentification, and system stability problems, ensuring timely service recovery.
• Cooperate closely with R&D teams to translate local market requirements, such as local application identification and regulatory compliance, into technical specifications and support the implementation of customized features.

Core Technical Skills:
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP protocol stack and common application layer protocols, including HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, QUIC, and related technologies.
• Good working knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.
• Strong hands-on experience with traffic analysis tools such as Wireshark and Tcpdump, with a clear understanding of packet structure and traffic behavior.
• Knowledge of Regular Expressions (Regex) and basic programming or scripting skills, such as Python or C, for signature development and traffic analysis.

Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and support emergency or on-call troubleshooting when required.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

Work Conditions:

• Work in the Tashkent office, near Oybek metro station.
