EHS Manager (only for English Speaking)!

The Company’s manufacturing footprint extends across eight countries in addition to India. Company has several international offices and a supply chain that extends around the globe.
Planning and review:
• Prepare project specific ESMP/HSMP/ SHEQ manual and method statements in line with client
requirement.
• Prepare and review project EHS plan and get required approvals from PM/CE.
• Prepare emergency response plan and revise it as and when required.
• Plan EHS orientation/training programs for workmen, staff, sub-contractor.
• Periodically evaluate risk and propose mitigation plans.
• Organize weekly project review meetings with project team, site team and Engineering team
(Head Quarter) to understand the design progress, actual project progress in terms of SPI, CPI,
EVM etc. and provide appropriate action plans.
Implementation:
• Set up and monitor EHS procedures at project site, in line with relevant environment, health and
safety guidelines, law of the land, company policy and client requirements.
• Implement project specific EHS plan/HSMP at project site, handle all approvals related to health
and safety and adhere to project schedule.
• Form and EHS committee as per local laws, conduct EHS committee meetings and circulate
MOM of the same.
• Conduct fitness and document screening of workmen (subcontractor’s) prior to commencement
of their work.
• Inspect workmen facilities/camps and amenities (e.g.: clean drinking water, food etc.)
periodically against safety standards and take appropriate actions.
• Design, create and maintain a First Aid room on site and get some assigned staff/workmen
trained to be first aid providers on site and display the first aid providers contact details at
different locations on site.
• Arrange for medical check-ups for staff on site.
• Identify PPEs and interface with engineers for arrangement & usage.
• Provide special equipment (e.g. riggers) as required and arrange appropriate training for the
same.
• Inspect materials, equipment and systems followed by subcontractor against project
requirement from a safety perspective and intervene where necessary.
• Conduct EHS orientation initially and periodic training programs and toolbox talks subsequently,
for all site workers and staff.
• Conduct mock drills like Fire Drills and Procure, inspect, and arrange to maintain safety
equipment like Fire Extinguishers and emergency sirens.
• Ensure safety signs are put up and maintained at site.
• Ensure water spraying is done regularly to reduce dust around site.
• Ensure excavation barricade is in place and opening, closing and access to the work area is
monitored.
• Ensure EHS committee walk down with site personnel daily.
• Arrange periodic H&S audits and workplace inspections and address non-conformities
immediately.
• Conduct risk assessments periodically and propose mitigation plan.
• Conduct investigation of all accidents / dangerous occurrences and near misses & recommend
appropriate corrective measures.
• Register customer complaints related to EHS and take corrective actions.
• Maintain Safety notice board and suggestion box at site.
• Organize campaigns, competitions, and other special emphasis programs to promote EHS with
stakeholders / interested parties. Celebrate L&T safety month every year.
• Make proper arrangements for waste management, disposal, and recycling.
• Conduct CSR activities relating to health and safety in and around site area.
Reports and Meetings:
• Get required approvals for project EHS plan from PM/CE.
• Accompany PM to attend review meetings organized by Employer/CE related to health & safety
issues and keep EHSQ head informed.
• Attend weekly review meeting organized by PM along with other Project management team
members and necessary site team members.
• Attend review meetings along with project & execution team as required when arranged by
Employer/ client/ CE.
• Prepare and submit bi-weekly and monthly reports for all health & safety related issues to
PM/EHSQ Head.

Role requirements
Personal Attributes:
Education: - Degree/Diploma in Engineering /Safety Management/Environmental Management/
Environmental Health. - NEBOSH - Management knowledge of ISO 18001/9001 and 14001 systems preferred.
Language: English: Proficient
Russian: Preferred
Uzbek: Preferred
Experience:
- 10-15 years’ experience 10-15 years of relevant experience in managing Integrate Solar Power
Projects including BESS Projects/ Substation Projects/TL Projects (as relevant) - Prior experience of working in CIS countries preferable. - Experience in leading multicultural teams preferable.
Skills: - Planning and organizing - Good decision making and problem-solving skills. - Budgeting - Training and supervising - Diversity management - Contract management. - Good communication, presentation and report writing skills and proficient in English Language
(read, write, speak). Russian is preferred. - Conflict Management - Data analysis and presentation - Proficient at MS office and other relevant technical requirements. - System driven and aligned to ISO standards and requirement. - Ability to draft procedures, standards, processes and to handle documentation as per ISO
standards. - Ability to lead and facilitate HSE reviews. - Knowledge of basic First Aid Level-2, Risk assessment and incident/accident investigation.
