Lab Assistant (Medical Simulation Center)

Central Asian University is seeking a Lab Assistant / Teaching Assistant to join our Medical Simulation Center team.

Responsibilities:

Support of the educational process:

• Prepare simulation equipment (mannequins, virtual simulators, software, etc.) for classes and training sessions.

• Assist instructors during training, including equipment setup and troubleshooting minor issues.

• Support students during independent practice, ensuring correct use of equipment.

Technical support and equipment maintenance:

• Check equipment condition and functionality before and after classes.

• Identify and document malfunctions, coordinate repairs.

• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, and disinfection of equipment.

Inventory and organization:

• Maintain records of equipment use and consumables.

• Organize and manage the booking schedule for equipment.

• Monitor stock of consumables, prepare purchase requests.

Administrative support:

• Prepare reports on the condition of equipment and consumables.

• Participate in developing internal guidelines and procedures.

• Support the organization of conferences, workshops, and demonstration events.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with faculty and staff to ensure smooth operation of the Simulation Center.

• Support training of students and staff in the basics of simulation equipment usage.

Requirements:

• Secondary specialized or higher education (technical/medical background is an advantage).

• Basic technical skills and ability to handle equipment issues.

• Attention to detail, responsibility, and teamwork skills.

• Previous experience with simulation or medical equipment is an advantage​​​​​.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time, Monday to Friday (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

• Modern, well-equipped university campus
