We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team based in Tashkent.

You will report to the Director Project Execution CIS and Ukraine and you will be responsible for executing assigned projects and achieving project goals in support of the business areas.

The Project Manager role provides leadership for the development, execution and control of assigned proposals and projects with the ultimate goal of achieving project completion on time, within budgets, to the satisfaction of the customer, and at acceptable levels of quality without compromising safety or reliability.

Typical project activities include: technical liaison to the business area, the Customer’s single point of contact for communication and resolution of project issues, review and interpretation of customer Requests for Quote (RFQ), accountable for the definition of scope of supply and preparation of customer proposals, resource planning, defining and leading a project team, system design and specification, equipment procurement, equipment fabrication, drawing packages, value engineering, scope of supply documentation, contractor procurement, construction procurement and management, system commissioning and start-up, and project status and close out reports, etc.

On top of the project development and project execution, The Project Manager provides Project Management governance in his/her area of responsibility. Defines general problems and identifies solution options of project management efficiency improvements.
As the Project Manager you will:

• Develop and manage project team.
• Support estimate and proposal team with new opportunities. Engaged in estimate providing inputs related to local knowledge and expertise. Ensure that proposals and projects comply with company standards and procedures, as well as industry and country legislation and regulation.
• Work closely with the business area and line management to develop the opportunity into a well-defined estimate that meets the requirements of the scope of supply.
• Deal with local stakeholders (internal and external) throughout the proposal and project execution stages.
• Set-up project, budget, schedule and execution plan accordingly.
• Act as the key interface with local authorities, permitting and other legal bodies, throughout the proposal and project execution phases, in order to ensure the safe, on-budget, and on-schedule execution of projects.
• Provide leadership and management to ensure smooth project development and execution, and to meet contract and project deliverables.
• Transitioning to the construction site (when required), continue project leadership through construction, interfacing between Air Products, local stakeholders and contractors for safe and successful construction, commissioning and start-up.
• Provide technical point of contact to the business area for assigned projects.
• Develop and deliver competitive project execution strategies and procedures to ensure the growth of Air Products businesses whilst consistently delivering on project commitments in terms of safety, cost, schedule, quality, and performance. This includes, as required by the specific project, performing and/or the coordination of resources to complete the design, procurement fabrication, installation, start-up and commissioning tasks.
• Supervise, develop, mentor and coach allocated Project Engineers.
• Develop weekly and monthly reports. Present them to stakeholders.

You will have:

• Required a minimum of 15 years total relevant experience in managing plant modification projects on Gas/Oil operating plants, involving all project lifetime phases.
• Required relevant site construction supervision experience.
• Good command / effective operational proficiency in both Uzbek, Russian and English language.
• Broad general technical knowledge and principles, i.e. Process, Machinery, Electrical, PICS. Seasoned professional, technically astute.
• Ability to lead construction safety management
• Adequate and timely coordination for members of the project to meet the project’s goals and ability to adjust to the unexpected and adapt prior knowledge to unique situations
• Ability to distinguish between the contractual needs and desires of the customer to manage and resolve scope issues that may arise
• Teamwork skills supported by negotiation, interpersonal coordinating skills
• Ability to attain, share and maintain appropriate knowledge and skills within the group
• Ability and willingness to travel for shorter (days) site inspections and longer (weeks) plant construction periods.
