Key Responsibilities:

1. Text Editing and Adaptation:

   • Review all texts for grammatical and stylistic errors.
   • Edit content for clarity, brevity, and alignment with the project’s style and objectives.
   • Adapt materials for video format, including adding pauses, tonal directions for narrators/hosts, and adjusting text length.

2. Content Structuring and Coordination:

   • Assist in structuring and formatting news stories.
   • Ensure all stories align with the overall tone and style of the project.
   • Harmonize all segments of the program, including news, interviews, reports, and analyses.

3. Program Planning and Sequence Development:

   • Create script outlines for the entire program.
   • Arrange stories in a logical sequence to maintain viewer engagement.

4. Team Collaboration:

   • Collaborate with directors, editors, and narrators to implement text ideas effectively.
   • Discuss visual elements, such as graphics and infographics, with designers.
   • Ensure texts are submitted on time and ready for further processing, such as recording or editing.

5. Final Quality Assurance:

   • Verify texts before final recording by narrators or hosts.
   • Ensure supplementary materials, such as captions, titles, and headers, are available.
   • Review the final product to meet editorial standards.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent command of grammar, spelling, and stylistics.
• Proficiency in working with various text styles (informative, analytical, conversational).
• Strong editing skills to improve readability, precision, and coherence.
• Ability to condense text without losing meaning.
• Knowledge of newswriting principles (objectivity, accuracy, timeliness).
• Expertise in verifying information and sources.
• Understanding of scriptwriting principles for video formats.
• Skills in structuring text for narrators, including tonal and pause directives.
• Ability to manage a team of writers, journalists, and copywriters.
• Task delegation and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Experience creating and managing script outlines and logical sequencing of content.
• Basic knowledge of video production.
