Juru is looking for a Transmission Line Engineer to join our Engineering Design & Management Business Unit in Tashkent office, Uzbekistan. In this role you will be working with Engineering team under the supervision of experienced team members on a wide range of IPP-based projects including engineering of transmission lines (TL) design assignments across the Central Asia region.

Key responsibilities:

• Support transmission lines design assignments;
• Perform various mechanical and electrical calculations including conductor and cable sizing, sag & tension calculation, sizing of TL components;
• Prepare technical specifications and datasheets of TL components;
• Assist in advising the Client on design codes following local (PUE) and international standards and regulations;
• Draft design drawings using AutoCAD or any other CAD software;
• Support TL and Tower modelling on SAPR LEP;
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks, if required.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar;
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in an electrical engineering discipline (experience in the electric utility distribution field involving substation engineering is highly desirable);
• Hands-on experience with MS Office packages;
• Working experience in using AutoCAD is a must;
• Good command of English and Russian;
• Strong analytical skills;
• Ambitious, willing to learn new skills, open-minded and detail oriented;
• Excellent communication skills, friendly manner, and a team player;
• Ability to withstand high pressure and deliver results.
