Job Overview
The Early stage startup manager is responsible for understanding the needs of startups, listening to founders, and finding effective solutions to help them grow. This role involves active engagement with innovative teams, continuous networking, and making a tangible impact on the startup ecosystem. The Startup Manager also plays a key role in developing and managing incubation programs, promoting entrepreneurship in universities, and supporting idea-stage and early-stage startups through tailored mentorship, education, and ecosystem integration initiatives.

Requirements

• Higher education in economics, entrepreneurship, project management, IT, or related fields.

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a tracker, mentor, incubation program manager, consultant, or project coordinator.

• Strong understanding of startup operations — from idea to growth.

• Ability to collect, structure, and analyze feedback from target audiences.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain constructive dialogue with both entrepreneurs and government representatives.

• Excellent command of English and Uzbek (knowledge of Russian is an advantage).

Key Responsibilities

• Advise startups on launching, registration, scaling, and other operational issues.

• Continuously updаtеand maintain a comprehensive database of startups, tracking their progress and performance.

• Support startups in participating in incubation programs, competitions, exhibitions, and other ecosystem events.

• Organize pitch sessions and assist incubation centers in Universities to nurture new entrepreneurs.

• Monitor startups after incubation programs — maintaining regular contact, collecting key metrics, and identifying new needs.

• Collaborate with Universities and Higher degree educational institutions to develop proposals and policy recommendations that improve the business environment for startups.

• Maintain a database of startup requests, track common inquiries, and prepare methodological or informational materials.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience in launching or supporting tech projects.

• Knowledge of startup ecosystems in Uzbekistan and Central Asia.

• Facilitation skills for multi-stakeholder meetings and solution development sessions.

• Experience preparing project documentations and launching incubation / training programs.
