Market Research Intern

We are looking for an active, communicative, and motivated intern to help us better understand TECNO smartphone customers in Uzbekistan. The main responsibility of this role is to interview real customers, explore the reasons behind their purchase decisions, and gather valuable consumer insights in Tashkent and other regions of Uzbekistan.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth interviews with TECNO smartphone customers.
• Understand why customers chose a particular smartphone model and the factors that influenced their purchasing decisions.
• Explore customers' needs, habits, expectations, and pain points.
• Identify which competing smartphone brands and models customers considered before making their purchase.
• Coordinate interviews with the company's regional representatives.
• Travel across Uzbekistan to conduct face-to-face customer interviews.
• Record, transcribe, and organize interview responses.
• Analyze interview data to identify key consumer insights and behavioral patterns across different customer groups and regions.
• Prepare concise reports, summaries of findings, and presentations for the marketing team.
• Conduct short customer surveys at retail stores and points of sale when required.

Requirements

• Fluency in both Uzbek and Russian.
• Excellent communication and active listening skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout Uzbekistan.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with large volumes of information.
• Responsible, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• An interest in marketing, consumer research, and customer behavior.

Previous experience conducting interviews, surveys, or market research is an advantage but is not required. We will provide comprehensive training, interview methodologies, questionnaires, and all the necessary support.
