Teacher’s Assistant in Economics

CENTRAL ASIAN UNIVERSITY is seeking Teacher’s Assistant in Economics. The post-holder is expected to assume a part-time/ fully position within the Business School.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead professor in preparing and delivering lectures.
• Grade assignments and exams.
• Conduct tutorial sessions and provide academic support to students.
• Maintain and updаtеcourse materials.
• Assist in research projects and data collection.
• Provide administrative support as needed.

Requirements:

• Education:Master’s degree in Economics or a related field is preferred
• Work Experience: Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar academic support role is preferred.
• Strong understanding of economic theories and principles.
• Proficiency in statistics or statistical software (e.g., STATA, R, or SPSS) is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and students.
• Patience and a supportive attitude towards students.
• Desirable Criteria: Experience in conducting economic research.
• Familiarity with online teaching platforms and tools.
